Considering the increasing number of attacks worldwide there is an increasing need for safety everywhere. In addition to bullet resistance this also includes blast resistance. In this area the need for blast-resistant windows, doors and facades is noticeably increasing. Also in this market segment BENEDICT + RIVA offers an extensive selection of solutions for the varied requirements stipulated in ISO 16933 and US-GSA.
With large unit formats the blast-resistant facade system from BENEDICT + RIVA offers a perfect combination of high security and modern architecture. XR system panels for blast resistance: The most rigorous security requirements can be combined with modern architecture. The benefits for maximum planning security, appropriate blast resistance verifications, as well as the respective system passes in accordance with EN 14351-1 (windows and doors in exterior application) or EN 13830 (curtain wall) facades are available.
These system passes serve as summaries of the system characteristic for the Declaration of Performance and CE mark. The aluminum facade construction, which withstands an explosion at a distance of 15 meters (hazard level D "extremely low hazard") is suitable for a wide variety of uses: Such uses include security-sensitive areas, such as petrochemical companies, banks, and embassies, as well as military requirements. All requirements imposed on normal facades, such as thermal insulation, sound reduction, and weather-tightness, likewise are met by the blast-resistant version; at the same time it is visually indistinguishable from the standard facades from BENEDICT + RIVA.
For security reasons the facade system can only be built by processors with special approvals.
